There are many reasons people get into long range shooting. For some it is to challenge themselves, to do something they have never done. For others it may be a new interest or hobby or a hunter looking to extend his effective range in a responsible way. Whatever the reason is, the path to long range shooting starts at one place. At Evolved Ballistics we lay the foundation for the shooter to build upon, giving them the knowledge and tools that they will need for the journey. Our classes are broken up into two sections that can be taken over time or on a weekend.
Gear and Equipment
You can bring your own equipment or we provide top of the line equipment so that you as the shooter, can focus on learning. We use
Proof Research rifles, Leupold scopes, and Hornady ammunition to provide the student with everything that they need. We will provide laser range finders and ballistic software, teaching you how to utilize this equipment not just for the course but for your equipment or future equipment.
Topics Covered
Within the Introduction to Long Range Shooting Course classes, we will cover topics including gear and equipment, long range rifle set-up, fundamentals of shooting, scopes, MOA and Mils, ballistic calculators, understanding and calling wind, bullet selection, terminal performance, exterior ballistics and more. The topics are carefully selected and presented in order to provide the shooter with a solid foundation and understanding of the many aspects involved in taking a successful long range shot. All topics are put into practice during the range time. This allows the shooter to practice these new found skill sets under the supervision of professional instructors.
